Why THAT name?

I have had  inquiries about the name of my website (domain name) - and I thought taking a moment to explain the choice of the business name (Dynamic Wellness, LLC) and the importance of our awareness, education, and care of Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Dynamic: "change, activity, progress"

Wellness: "optimal health, mind body and spirit" :-)

Mind
Body
Spirit
A human mind arguably comprises both quantifiable brain ‘matter’ and the breadth of energy exchange and subsequent physiologic reactions.  How a person interprets information from the environment coupled with current brain chemistry sets in motion a chain reaction within the body.

What the mind believes the body receives; part of believing connects with experiences and education – another part of believing connects with the human spirit, an element of you that will not be ignored!
Your physical human body operates in much the same way as a machine: Proper fuel must be put in in order to do work; essential parts within must be functioning sufficiently in order to utilize the fuel.  Maintenance needs to be given regularly to prevent breakdown; when something does not feel or sound quite right, special tending may be needed.

Controlled by a combination of the brain and both the conscious and subconscious mind, the physiology of your being may have as much to do with your thought patterns and spirit as with nutrition, rest, and physical activity.
Whether explained by quantum physics as a particular ‘energy field’ or by philosophy as an unquantifiable aspect of human being, your spirit arises from the physical body, the conceptual mind, and a component of faith.

Although the human spirit defies the human brain’s capability to define, we believe that the ‘spirit’ element of you requires attention and training, as well!

Life is a matter of balance.

REFOCUS! What you Resist Persists!

Learning more about intuition, figuring out how to 'harness' and 'direct' my energy, and surrounding myself with health and happiness comes just a smidge easier each day.  Practice, practice, practice!

Have I mentioned that I am outstandingly grateful for the sister that I have been blessed to have?  She recently shared a lesson by Rick Warren, a pastor and the well-known author of The Purpose Driven Life.  [I read book several years ago - I recommend it to you!  >>How God Heals Your Hidden Wounds, part II << (listen!)

Big lessons:

  • The deepest wounds we have are most often hidden.
  • A bitter spirit poisons and perpetuates.
  • Focus on what you WANT!
  • Release those who have hurt you
  • Replace "old tapes" with TRUTH
  • Believe the truth about YOU.
  • Refocus on the future.

On what are you basing your life?  What do you believe about yourself? about your life?

The way you see yourself tends to be based on what you think the most important person in your life thinks about you!

I am actively choosing, each day, to 'change the tapes' and replace them with truth and good.  Changing the way I think changes how I experience each day.  I am choosing my environment, internally and externally [as much as possible].

You may be thinking, 'Of course you are, Nicole.  You are a wellness coach.'  Friend, let me tell you, sometimes I need as much encouragement and support as I am expected to provide to others!

Negative thoughts are actually natural, as well as socially 'expected' - how tragic!  It takes work and perseverance to think positive thoughts sometimes . . . and sometimes we need help from others.

Every day, I practice practicing mindful awareness of my support system and the things around me that happen in my favor.  The work I am doing now to heal 'hidden wounds' is preparing me for a very blessed future.

Be firm and courageous, my friends!  "Put your heart right."

Timing - it is NOT a coincidence!

Ran this morning with great friends. Haven't run in over a week.  My hips are YELLING AT ME.  Note to self: Do not wait so long to run - even if it is only a 15-minute jaunt or 2 mile "trudge".

Then, I read this lovely article this afternoon (great timing) :-) Enjoy! (And, pick a few mantras for yourself!)
