Blurb from Discovery Channel online re: adding 15 minutes of exercise to your day to add years to your life! *Specifically to peeps who don't exercise regularly or need an additional motivator to get daily physical activity.* Do It! <--(click the link!)
Me? Of course, you want to know if I have been keeping up with my great morning walking routine. It has not become a routine. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I wake up incredibly early approximately one day per week, but I can never gauge which day it will be! I was HOPING today would be that day! I woke around 2:30am WIDE AWAKE after not putting away my book until around midnight last night. I opted to stay in be and re-woke at about 6:45am (purposely left my bedroom door open so that I would hear my roommate get up for work). Rolled outta bed and went to the living room and promptly began stretching and doing my "Jane Fondas" (aka various leg lifts) to wake up my body and warm up for an impending walk. Drank some water and some coffee right away to start waking up my systems. Yep. And then! Ummmm. And then I felt tired. And went back to bed until 10am. BUGGER! Now it is flippin HOT outside. And I'm still tired. Der.
I checked my email and school accounts to make sure that all my classes are in line and that my financial aid has been allocated. Then, I began working on my budget (this is good . . . part of a balanced, healthy life). I worked on that for about and hour and felt *yawn* sleepy. NO! DO NOT GO BACK TO BED! I chose to crank up country music on youtube (as I've done for the last 3 days) to invigorate my mind and started folding and putting laundry away. Then took the dog for a long potty break/short walk around apt complex/drop mail off. Juuuuust about melted out there, today, folks. This big gal sweats. Perspires, for those of you that prefer.
Now what? Do something in my apt before showering and going to class? ie. yoga, p90x, or pilates? Hmm. Check back with me later to see if I was a good girl :)
