Dynamite may be necessary

Yesterday, it nearly took a stick of dynamite to blow my behind outta bed.  I knew it was going to be difficult because I had not gone to bed until almost 1am Sunday night after a lovely evening with KS and VS watching NBA playoffs, drinking homemade frappuccinos, and (watching them) paint.  I attempted!  I set tandem alarms . . . one to go off at 7:00 and one for 7:30am.  When that failed to work (after several 'snooze's, I finally got up at 8:30am, stripped the sheets off my bed, and promptly threw all of the sheets into the washing machine!  TIME TO GET UP!!  I drank a little coffee and then changed clothes before I could really think about how tired and stiff I was and harnessed the dog: Time for a walk!!  It worked - at least somewhat.  A 20-minute walk is better than no walk!  Sure made the doggy happy :-)

Today was much of the same, although I didn't think washing my sheets again was necessary.  Hauled my tired and stiff body outta bed (another late night - home around 11pm after a nice evening of drinks and Mochi with KS, VS, and K's mom).  Walked the doggy again (after a few sips of iced-coffee) . . . 30-minute route today.  Better.

Just now, I was laying in bed after I had returned from class, eaten, and put away laundry (that had been lazily sitting in baskets, albeit folded, for 2-3 days?) and rested for 10 or 15 minutes.  I feel like I could take a 2-hour nap instead of going to work.  Ack.  Work is only 90 minutes.  I'm going to make it a goal *right now* to stand for the majority of the work shift, only sitting if my feet get sore.  I will stand, stretch, and walk around - luckily, our computer screens are on an elevated desktop!

Okay, well now I'm back from work.  And I DID stand nearly the whole time!  Actually, I did a lot of walking and going up and down flights of stairs between floors 1, 2, and 3 (no elevator for this lady!).  Worked up a sweat . . . at the library . . . weird.

For those of you who are reading and like to see pictures of what I've been up to, I am going to post a couple of fun shots from Friday (I skipped class and went to the beach with 2 great gals) and Saturday (went tubing at Ichetucknee State Park with good buds)!
