Well, that might take too long. I think I'll just start with the huge event/milestone/torture that I conquered over the weekend and take it from there.

Training was a lot of work. I finished most of it - started base training in November, registered for the race in February, and got 'er done at the end of April. WHEW. Check that off the 'life to-do' list. I walked, ran, walked and ran in the rain and snow, swam, did a bunch of yoga, lots of core exercises, a little bit of biking (indoors), and slept :-) and ate! When my body wasn't feeling quite right, I really worked on taking a close look at what was happening in my life - emotional/mental stressors manifest as physical symptoms in the body and I definitely felt that! Maybe I will work on being more mindful in logging my training for the next event . . . which is potentially coming up in less than two months . . . for the last couple of days, though, I have been drinking lots of water, eating good recovery foods, resting [napping!] a lot, and taking walk and stretch breaks throughout the day.
Overall, I am thankful that I got this done and know that my mom's support was crucial to this accomplishment - I can't say that enough. And I am SO PROUD of her for completing another half marathon! She rocks. :-)
