Such an amazing time that I've been having in Minnesota for the last several weeks! Some great people that I've been able to connect with, along with some of the icky stuff that comes with living a life amongst, well, other people. . .haha! I've been a traveling fool, driving and walking all over this beautiful state, and I must say - I am EAGER to move back in December and start my new adventures (or, continue my adventures) in Cambridge!
Saturday, I participated in the Beltrami County Relay for Life - what a fantastic time and great event. I'm so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life! Even though there are struggles, personally-professionally-amidst roommates-amidst coworkers . . . even though sometimes I feel really "alone", those are the times when I can really count on the honest-to-goodness good-hearted, positive-spirited friends.
Today, I met Noemi Aylesworth (owner of the Cabin Coffeehouse and Cafe in Bemidji, MN) for a walk and talk . . .we ended up going for a 1 hour walk and then continuing our chat over fruit smoothies. WHAT AN AWESOME WOMAN. We talked about business, health, medicine, wellness, facilities, etc. . . SO INSPIRING and MOTIVATIONAL to be around other people with similar thoughts, dreams, aspirations.
I felt a bit lonely coming "home" to the empty house that I'm staying in tonight (however, am extremely thankful to the friends/family that are letting me camp out in their basement for the last week or so!). Had some cry time and some frustration time this evening, which is all well in good, because now I can think more clearly and process things. I need to allow myself to have feelings and emotions :)
Moving on to more productive things! I want to put up some pictures from a couple of neat adventures I have taken! These are all from Isabella Lake in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Thanks to Canoe Country Outfitters for taking care of us, again! Every time I go to Ely, MN, I want to move there :)
