Haven't been moving enough! The right piriformis syndrome/achey gluteus medius junk is back! Wish I had something to blame other than my own laziness as of late! Boo. Have been stretching a lot and using my foam roller and even my dog's tennis ball to try to massage out the whole right hip. It gives a small amount of relief. Sitting for an extended period of time in a partial-pigeon pose also helps.
The main idea: GET OUT OF YOUR CHAIR! Move more! Walk the dog.
This morning - made myself get out of bed (*gasp*) before 9am (I've been awake until 2am or later the last few days). Up, immediately doing warm-ups and light yoga, followed by a 10 minute walk with the dog. We both need it in the morning - get outside and moving.
Now, here I am, in front of the computer again. Blah! I have so much research to do in the library today. Incidentally, my research is on chronic pain :-p I need to make sure I get up and move around every so often.
And the light stretching and dog walking (at least 10 minutes) in the morning needs to continue; I've done it before and both enjoy and benefit from it. Good way to start the day and will add to the day's cumulative movement :)
Amen. It shall be done.
