Groove to Move!

You got it - dancing!

Went to a neat club tonight to listen to some live bluegrass music and needed to write a bit before heading off to the land of Zzzzzzs.

If you are like me, the same exercise over-and-over becomes more of a chore than something to be real excited about.  Not everyone feels this way!  And that is wonderful!  I need variety, for sure!  (Partially why the triathlon is so appealing to me!)

I have discovered some new music in the last couple of days and wanted to share them, lest you decide to have a private jam session (read: dance around the living room sans a care in the world!) or you want to add it to your itunes collection and bring it to your next gym workout.

First, I know she has been around for a little while, and part of why I haven't discovered her is that I don't really dig slow ballad-y music.  I like upbeat stuff.  But Adele's song "Rolling in the Deep" gets my toes a tapping and I start dancing like a silly Susie around the living room!  And tonight I had the opportunity to be present at a live show for Greenland is Melting, a bluegrass group out of Gainesville, FL!  The band members three have SUCH a fun time performing and truly, Will Dueease- Standup Bass, Suitcase Bass Drum - is just rocking out the whole time! LOVE IT!

So - if you are looking for a new way to move, try to GROOVE!  I'm not anything special to watch, to be sure, but man oh man, I have a good time!!  (Those who have seen me at a company Christmas party or a wedding dance or Moondance Jammin' Country . . . or Keg n' Cork or Brigids in good ol' Bemidji, MN, can attest!)  Dancing is an AWESOME way to exercise and if it is music you really enjoy, it is totally therapeutic on another level!

Happy jigging! :-)
