Walked 1.5 miles around campus today, from bus stop to stadium (to get Gator Football tickets!) to the library that I work at (stadium-to-work is .85 miles) . . . did I mention that went I went to workout at 6:15 it was 91% humidity already? I WAS A WALKING PUDDLE by the time I got to work! Ewie!! And wouldn't you know it, I was wearing a grey shirt (sweat marks) and forgot a pony-tail bindy. UGH. It was a SHOCK to my system to walk into the air conditioned building. I had to sit in the office for 5 minutes until I quit sweating so profusely - when I thought that I had cooled down enough to be somewhat presentable at the front desk, I grabbed my water bottle and showed my sweat-stained shirt off to the world of med students. My fabulous co-worked says to me, "Man! You look like you just got out of a sauna!" HellLLOOOOOOOO?!?!!? Have you BEEN outside today? Good grief!! Anyway, I opted to do the security walk and when I did, I only took the 2nd floor books with me to return - that way, I had to come back down the stairs and go back up 2 flights to return the books on 3rd floor. (Most staff use the elevator. Why should I? I have time. And energy. And working body parts.)
On a fun side note: Went to another Gator Volleyball game tonight :) Met a couple of really funny "old"er ladies and had a great time! They Gator Gals played really well and beat the FSU Seminoles in 3. Very intense competition! Oh, and saw a funny sight - see below!
