Wish it was a cinna-mini roll . . . covered in delicious icing . . . hahahahhaha oh I'm a jokester :)
Yesterday's nice, cool (75-80*) weather prompted me to bike to class. Even though that was about it for the day (I came home, napped, went to a therapy appointment, came home, ate, napped, watched a movie), it was "BTN" - better than nothing.
Today, not only did I bike to class and back, I took my beloved pooch out for a lil' walk/jog! Little more/little better, day by day. Here's the breakdown from today:
(Warmup: biked home from class, about 10 minutes, walk until the doggy did her "duties").
Run: 11 minutes
Walk: 3 minutes
Run: 6 minutes
Walk: 6 minutes
Run: 8 minutes
Walk: 5 minutes (cooldown)
Sure, it was approximately 39 minutes or so and we did a 2.5 mile jaunt. No records broken, no all out exhaustive efforts. But - I/we (doggy likes attention!) did it!
Feet are still a little funny-feeling. I'm not sure how to describe what they feel like. Not "normal". Again, did the mid-foot run as best I could adapt with my Asics :) Although the particular brand of Asics that I have purchased since 2001 have served me well, I'm eager to try my vibram five fingers in Minnesota!! I really hope that the change of footwear will contribute to less pain and more miles.

Special little note to my motivators, whether they know or acknowledge their roles or not: MOM, stepma, RoRo, Kerry, TK, KS, Coralitabonita, and SS. Wonderful, strong, educated women who move their bodies!!
